Having worked with an addictive nature in this lifetime I have pondered resilience a lot.

The Midjourney Bot web app has created fishlike flying creatures which is why I chose this image. That’s exactly it isn’t it, we need to look at things from a different perspective if we want to become resilient. It offers us options in life, we are able to choose which path to take when we reach those ‘crossroads’ moments which we all $%#$#^ get! (insert favourite swear work if you feel so inclined)

Resilience is us having acquired intellectual tools to be able to be resilience, you ain’t picking this one up at your favourite store folks, sorry.

I have found also we develop resilience in certain areas, because like everything, where we focus our attention ……. that’s where we are.

So all our own experiences are the training ground for building our resilience. Our resilience is directly related to our experiences & is therefore as unique as you are.

No comparing yourself to others, therein lies insanity. You are unique, don’t expect yourself to be ‘like’ others, that’s just your innate drive to belong. Find belonging, however do it with your own unique flare. The reverse invalidates your experience & all kinds of fuckedupness happens in our brains & bodies. I have a friggin gold star in dysfunction, I know this intimately.

Honour your own feelings & experiences they are actually the only ones that matter. No-one knows you better than you & they never will, trust yourself first. Yes some days that’s a challenge, no worries that too I’ve found to be normal, every moment is different we are different, let your freak flag fly (IF you feel it’s safe to do so, I can’t stress that enough. Fear leads to baaaad behaviour sometimes, so stay safe people.)

So go be a warrior for yourself. Build that resilience & life gets easier.
